DL221-F
DL221F is a MOSFET phase cut light adjustment (dimmer) device. The output to the load is 230V ~. The distinctive feature of the DL221F dimmer is the connection without neutral: it is inserted on the phase wire (L) without the need for direct connection to the neutral (N). This makes it compatible with the replacement of a simple switch or installation in places where there is no neutral wire. It can be controlled from one or more points, by means of normally open pushbuttons of any civil series. The device is inserted in a plastic casing and immersed in UL94 V-0 flame retardant polyurethane resin; this gives the product fireproof properties.
The device works in TRAILING EDGE mode.
WORKS ONLY WITH DIMMABLE LAMPS
Technical features
Dimmer operation
The first diagram refers to the duration of the pulse (with time on the abscissa axis).
The narrower and more striped rectangles mean a short pulse, the wider ones a prolonged pulse.
The diagram below refers to the brightness of the lamp (brightness on the ordinate axis and time on the abscissa axis).
For each short pulse, the brightness always passes from the min to the max level and vice versa, without stopping at intermediate levels.
The first long push on the graph sets the brightness from the maximum to the desired intermediate level.
The second button "changes the direction of dimming" and in this case regrows the brightness up to the maximum level.
After a short press of the button, the light turns on at the maximum level.
Subsequently, the user gives a prolonged pulse, then going to dim the light and releasing the button at the desired brightness level.
This level is therefore the stored level.
Another short push from the user switches the light off, while the next one switches it on again at the last selected brightness level (memory function).
DL221-F allows you to calibrate the minimum light directly from the button.
Each type of lamp may need a different minimum light, and this can also be useful to avoid "flickering" problems.
To calibrate the minimum light it is necessary to give a prolonged pulse until the light falls to the current minimum.
Once the brightness has reached the minimum you have to keep holding the button down for about another 5 ".
At this point the brightness should begin to "fluctuate" (between 0 and 30%).
To set the new minimum, just release the button at the desired brightness level.
Check that the lamp is dimmable and of good quality.
DL221-F is equipped with an overheating protection device, which turns off the light if the dimmer overheats.
Sure, DL221-F was designed just for that!
Yes, just check that you are using dimmable lamps.
Check that you have no stuck buttons.
